Why do I need this plugin?
Figma doesn't have built-in support for importing EPS files. EPSImporter fills this gap by converting Illustrator and legacy EPS artwork into editable Figma vectors, text, and groups — so you can migrate icon sets, brand assets, and print files without redrawing everything by hand.
Why isn't my EPS imported exactly 1:1 in Figma?
EPS files are interpreted by Adobe's PostScript engine, while Figma uses its own vector and text rendering. We strive for maximum fidelity, but some Illustrator-specific effects, blends, and appearance attributes may be simplified or approximated during conversion.
Why are some elements imported as grouped vectors instead of individual layers?
Complex EPS artwork is often flattened or nested in ways that don't map cleanly to Figma's layer model. When path data can't be split reliably, related shapes are grouped together so you still get editable vectors rather than a single rasterized image.
What features are currently not supported?
Some advanced Illustrator features may not transfer perfectly, including certain mesh gradients, complex live effects, and obscure PostScript operators. We're continuously improving compatibility with common production EPS files.

Why does the plugin require an internet connection?

Are there any rate limits for using the plugin?
There are currently no rate limits for normal use. We reserve the right to add limits if we detect abuse, so the service stays fast and reliable for everyone.
